Fit a whole photo, image or picture into an Instagram or WhatsApp size without cropping any of it. Out comes, for example, a 1080×1350 JPEG with your 1080×720 photo in the middle and a blurred border above and below.
This is the opposite of a crop: the photo keeps every edge, and the space the platform's ratio adds becomes a border. The blurred border is the photo itself, softened; it is the only blur this site draws, and the photo in the middle is not touched.
Happy to crop after all? Crop for Instagram has the same sizes with the grid window. A DP: crop WhatsApp DP. Any other ratio: crop to aspect ratio.
What you can do here
Fit, not fill
The whole photo is scaled into the target, never stretched, and the rest becomes border. The contract says where it sits.
Blurred or plain border
A blurred copy of the photo behind it, white, black, transparent or any colour you pick.
The sizes that crop you
Instagram 4:5, 1:1 and 3:4 at 1080 px, Story 9:16, a 500×500 WhatsApp DP square, 16:9, or a square at the photo's own pixels.
Position and margin
Push the photo to the top, bottom or a side, and add a margin of up to 20% all round.
How to instagram no crop
- 1Open the photo
Drop it on the box. It stays in this tab.
- 2Choose the size and the border
Under Fit without cropping pick Instagram 4:5, square, Story or WhatsApp, then a blurred or plain border. The box still decides what is in the picture: drag it to leave something out.
- 3Download
The contract states, for example, "Whole photo 1080×720 placed inside 1080×1350 with a blurred border". Download saves that file.
Questions about cropping
Why does Instagram crop my photo?
Its feed takes ratios between 1.91:1 and 3:4. A photo outside that range, such as a wide panorama or a tall phone screenshot, is cropped to fit. Placing it inside 4:5 or 1:1 with a border first means there is nothing left to crop.
Solid border or blurred border?
A blurred border is a softened copy of the same photo stretched behind it, which reads as part of the picture. A solid colour is plainer and makes a smaller file. Both leave the photo itself untouched.
Which size for a WhatsApp DP without cropping?
Choose WhatsApp DP square (500×500). The whole photo sits in the square, so WhatsApp's circle crops only the border; keep the face near the middle.
Does it stretch the photo?
No. The photo is scaled by the same amount across and down, so it keeps its shape. Only the border fills the extra space.
Can I still crop a little first?
Yes. The box is still there: drag it to leave out an edge, and the fit is worked out around what is inside it.
Does it use AI to fill the border?
No. The border is a colour or a blurred copy of your photo. Nothing is invented to extend the picture.
